Alright right guys, here it is, the announcement for the contest I’ve been teasing and I hope you’ve set aside some time, this is going to be a big one. First of all, thank you all so very much for watching me and giving me so much support, you are all truly amazing and it's because of you that I met my New Year's goal so early. This contest is happening because of all 36 of you, my watchers! Now for the challenge....

The challenge is…. DO STUFF FOR MY OCS! Yes, that’s right, do stuff! What do I mean by stuff? I mean do anything! You heard me, you can do anything for this contest as long as it involves my OCs, The Traveling Story Teller, or even 2GTAPFs! Here’s an example of what you could do for that if you're interested, and thank you once again VoidSamukai for being so awesome (and providing content for examples because I’m too lazy to do it myself… oh, and go check out his DA pages, he deserves more love) –

  

So, what specifically do I mean by anything? More on that after I go over some rules.

 Rules/Guidelines/Possible Questions Answered:

    - You don’t have to be a watcher to join nor do you have to favorite this journal (if you want to keep up with this you might want to), but I’d like you to share it so I can get a lot of amazing artists in on this (by amazing artists, I mean you, that being anybody who enters)

    - I’d like for you to comment that you’re entering (so I know who/what to expect) and to put in the comment the following (please)

      o   That you’re entering

      o   What you plan on doing, can be multiple things because there may or may not be multiple categories and I need to know how many people are doing what for that to happen (ex. I’m going to draw a picture and then write out a story). This will help me with making prize categories

      o   The journal

      o   Any questions (optional)

    - No deadline as of yet, will update when decided (somewhere in May?)

    - Yes, you may have your OCs with my characters picture or story wise, no shipping them with your OCs (may make exceptions), I’m going to have a shipping contest at some point so go there if you want to try

    - If your OCs are involved, my OCs must play a major part in the story in some way, they don’t always have to be there, but they must be front and center in a picture or share the same amount of space, or be important to the plot in some way, like sending your character on a fetch quest instigated by one of my OCs

    - Gender bending my characters is find, if your OC is involved, they must also be gender bent

    - Keep my characters in character, if they’re just a little out of character, I won’t be too picky

    - Don’t worry about getting them to look just as I have them, do what you feel is in your drawing range or just have fun with the design (I’m not that picky)

    - No NSFW

    - I’m ok with gore, just don’t go too crazy

    - I’m not really a fan of horror related stuff, but you can try, I just don’t like getting scared, just no Creepypasta stuff please. If it’s interesting horror, like, it makes you think, then I love that stuff (it’d probably be best if you brief me on what you want to do in that category)

    - Do not kill my characters, unless in a dream or drug sequence, I’m also ok with drugs, but not for my characters please

    - If you have characters from a very specific AU and you need to change up my characters for them to fit, I’m ok with that, please clear this with me first

    - Yes, you can do just about anything for this, I will go more into detail on this below with a list of possible ideas

    - Bases are good in my book

    - No pony generator

    - Also, put “Fluffy Lion Horses” in your comment so I know you read everything

    - And have fun, go nuts

 

Ok, boring stuff is out of the way, now what…? PRIZES!

I will be doing commissions (writing commissions are open), YCHs, and adopts so if you want to contribute that way, go ahead.   Cutest Entry: That one entry that made me go DAW, the most! I love cute things and it's not that hard to make me go DAW!

  That one crazy person who animated something (must be at least 10-15 seconds long without loop, 30 preferred): Because animation isn’t easy and takes a whole lot of work, you deserve something. This will only be handed out if somebody actually does it; if you plan making the animation for the contest at some point, but was unable to do to time constraints, a storyboard, animatic, or pencil test of sorts will be fine under the condition that you will animate it completely (you get half the prize until I see the finished product). I like hand drawn animation the best with computer generated being my least favorite, but still appreciated (if you do hand draw it, I will give you something extra for being so amazing).

  And finally (for now), that one son of a gun who made me cry: I challenge you to make me cry (without having one of my characters die or do it in a contrived manor like Snow Drop). I don’t care how you do it, make me cry a river. This prize will only be handed out if the conditions are met (if two or more people made me cry, then the one who drove me the most emotionally gets it). An example of something that got me teary eyed: To the Moon (the feels, they hurt even now)

Now, for the moment you’ve been waiting for, what can you do for this contest that falls under stuff? Anything really, here’s just a short list (not really) of stuff I thought of in case you need ideas. They range from things I’d love to see to things I’m rather impartial to.

 

I would love you forever if you did this–

    - Animate my Azure (I love you long time)

    - Creating theme songs, an opening theme, or music in general for my OCs, The Traveling Story Teller, or 2GTAPF (if somebody creates an opening theme and then somebody animates, it, you win a prize of some sort automatically). As a way to encourage you music makers out there, if you create a song that has lyrics and you do a completely vocal and instrumental song out of it, I will sing it (and I will hate you for doing it while I give you a big hug)

    - A ref sheet for Azure (as you can tell, Azure is the favorite, sh, don’t tell the others)

    - A story that’s really engaging, like, a full out chapter story that I can’t stop reading (I love reading anything that’s really, really, good)

    - A group picture of all my OCs (seriously, there are a lot and it’d be amazing to see)

    - Making a video involving my OCs, The Traveling Story Teller, or 2GTAPF

    - Something creative or something I haven’t thought of or ever could have (creativity will nab you a lot of brownie points)

 

I’d love to see this and things I love in general –

    - A real pretty picture

    - Anything with Azure

    - Stories, I love stories

    - Lore and fables are things I love most in stories

    - Interesting species

    - Right next to lore and fables is characters, I love characters, take a look at my favorites to see what I mean

    - Fantasy is my favorite genre

    - Species that fall under fantastical stuff (you know fairies and the like) that meet Azure (also, lots of lore on those fellows, love that stuff)

    - Ship art of Azure and Silver Lance or just ships of my characters in general (for confirmed ships only)

    - Super adorable stuff

    - Things that make me laugh, comedy is a big love of mine though I’m not one for writing it as a main priority

    - Azure meeting a character that I really love (depends I guess, but I love having her meet detailed, personality filled, background rich characters so much)

    - Traditionally drawn pictures (with backgrounds and detail because I love that kind of stuff)

    - I enjoy comics

    - If you’re a voice actor or into voice acting, you can record yourself doing a voice of a character (you can make up dialogue if you want, maybe have them go through an interview): no video of you doing the voice required, you can upload it to Youtube with a picture of said character as the video or just send an audio file (depending on how many entries I get, those who get the closest will get a prize)

    - You could also do a reading of my work, maybe an audio kind of thing like the Doctor Whooves sort of thing (you know ponies with pockets production); I’d love to see that

 

I’d like to see this –

    -  You can do a review of my series, characters, a top ten list maybe, it can be written out, this also includes The Traveling Story Teller and 2GTAPF; you can also do an analysis, that sounds pretty neat

    - If you want to ship my characters with one another, I guess that’s fine, I’m interested as to whom you’d ship them with

 

It will hurt your score (most of this is writing related, if you intend to write)–

    - Jump scares, I hate jump scares, and most horror, I especially hate FNAF with a burning passion

    - Keep other fandoms out of this, just keep it to mlp only please (no, I have not played Undertale yet so don’t, I do plan to)*

*Edit: I've been thinking about it, and I'm ok if you want to dress my characters as other characters from other pieces of media (I'm loving Steven Universe currently just to get you started)

    - If your character has close relations with the mane six or other characters of the show, don’t write them with Azure, also, keep characters from the show away from her; this has to do with her story

    - I’m iffy on species story wise, drawing them with Azure or the other characters is fine, but if you want to write about how they would meet Azure, please send me a picture first (just in case I want to add it to the cannon of The Traveling Storyteller*)

 *Speaking of, if you want to write how your character met Azure and you would be interested in having that be cannon (big if on that), then you might want to show me a picture first and the backstory; I can be picky about who gets in or not*

 

Here’s a list of other things you could do if you want (I had no idea where to place them)

    - Plushies, seriously, if you really want to make a plushie of any of my characters that would be amazing and I’d love you forever, but I didn’t want to put it under that category because, well, plushies aren’t cheap. If you do, you don’t even need to send it to me, just give me a picture, this also applies to figurines and other crafts (I love arts and crafts stuff)

    - Equestria Girls/antro/humanized or anime, I can’t draw people and I’ve been wanting to learn so I can draw my characters as people. I’m impartial to Equestria Girls and most antro styles, but I do love anime so go nuts

    - Creating gala dresses/dresses in general or other accessories, I do like stuff like this, but I don’t know how far it will get you unless you really blow me away

    - Drawing my characters as other species, I’m not sure if I would like this or not, give it a shot, have some fun

    - Create a character for my story, I guess you can try, I can be picky about this

    - Create a snow sculpture or sculpture in general? I figured since its still winter, for some people, this just an idea of course (thought it would be fun), but it has to look really good, so you probably shouldn’t do this, but you can try. Same with the sculpture, not sure if I’d want that, but if you’re into that kind of thing, go for it

    - Azure and romantic relationships (oh and some spoilers for The Traveling Storyteller): Scofflaw is “in love” with Azure in a sleazy way somewhat, will join Azure on her adventures as he does love her in a non-sleazy way and wants to make sure she’s safe while trying to convince her to marry him, they do get into a somewhat romantic relationship you could say. Silver Lance loves Azure very dearly, but Azure doesn’t seem to notice and Lance has yet to find the time to tell her or even build up the courage in the first place.

    - Path Finder is building up a romantic relationship with Shepard (yet to be released)

    - Earl Grey does own a tea shop now

 

Also, just for fun: Judges (figured I’d add this in case anybody’s interested, I may need the help: possible slots 4)

Conditions – I’d like to know you in some way (like, we’ve had a proper conversation before, you can start now if you’re interested), you must be available to give swift answers to notes when the judging comes, have a love for my characters (it helps), have some background in proper writing for stories, you can’t make an entry
